Designed to move carts and equipment with less effort, this USA-made 4"×2" rigid caster combines the second-generation HI-TECH polyurethane wheel with a rugged Colson industrial rig to deliver easy-rolling, exceptional durability, and outstanding long-term value in a dependable 720 lb capacity caster. Featuring sealed Easy-Roll pedestal precision ball bearings, up to 4× longer wheel life than conventional polyurethane wheels, heavy-duty 1/4" thick steel construction, a standard 4"×4-1/2" top plate, and a 3-year warranty, it's built to perform in manufacturing, warehousing, healthcare, food service, maintenance, and other demanding industrial applications. The non-marking polyurethane tread helps protect finished floors while reducing push and pull forces, making it a versatile, economical choice wherever easier mobility and long service life are priorities.
Benefits of a Colson Rigid Caster
Rigid casters help keep carts and equipment tracking smoothly through long aisles, production lines, and repetitive travel paths. Unlike swivel casters, rigid casters maintain a fixed direction of travel, helping prevent carts from drifting or wandering during movement. That's why they're commonly paired with swivel or swivel-with-brake casters on the opposite end of carts and equipment—providing an ideal balance of straight-line tracking, controlled steering, and easy maneuverability.
Why Choose the Colson HI-TECH Wheel?
Engineered for exceptional performance and long service life, the second-generation Colson HI-TECH wheel delivers the ideal balance of easy mobility, floor protection, durability, and value. Its premium non-marking polyurethane tread helps protect finished floors while reducing push and pull effort, making it a versatile choice for everything from mobile workstations and warehouse carts to toolboxes, service equipment, and trade show displays. Independently ANSI ICWM tested, the advanced wheel design has demonstrated up to 4× longer service life than conventional polyurethane wheels, while a reinforced impact-resistant core and sealed Easy-Roll pedestal precision ball bearings provide smooth, maintenance-free performance in demanding industrial applications.
